The Social Order of the Beauceant is a ritualistic order with the theme of Faith, Loyalty, Love for God, the Order of Knights Templar and each other. Just as Knights Templar is known to be a Christian arm of Masonry, so is Beauceant a Christian Masonic Ladies group. Its ritual is based on the New Testament.
The purpose of the Order is to promote loyal friendships among the members, provide recreation and understanding, show acts of loving kindness and assist the Knights Templar when requested. Charities: The Social Order of the Beauceant adopted the Knight Templar Eye Foundation as their official Charity in 1957. The Order has raised over a half million dollars for the Eye Foundation. Beauceant also supports other local charities involving women and children. Beauceant membership is open to the wives, widows, mothers, sisters, daughters and granddaughters of Knight Templar of the United States of America or of a Beauceant member who are, or were at the time of their decease in good standing in a Commandery or an Assembly. A petitioner must be at least 18 years of age at the time of petitioning.
